From the Trailhead to the Spit
There's a specific kind of hungry that only exists after you've walked up to the Observatory and back, and the cafes along Vermont and Hillhurst — lovely as they are — don't always answer it. From Los Feliz, you're about twelve minutes from our door at 625 E Colorado St in Glendale: drop down to Los Feliz Blvd, cut through Atwater, and Glendale takes it from there. Street and lot parking wait at the other end, no trailhead scramble required — a luxury anyone who has circled the Observatory lot at sunset will appreciate properly.
The toum deserves its own sentence. Garlic whipped in-house until it's cloud-textured and sharp — people who grew up on the real thing nod at it, and people who didn't usually ask what it is and then order extra. We run until 2 AM every single night, which makes us the logical end of a Los Feliz evening — close enough that the drive doesn't kill the momentum, late enough that you don't have to watch the clock.
