Here's the whole route: get on Colorado Blvd, point west, and don't turn. Colorado Blvd becomes Colorado St, and about twelve minutes from Eagle Rock it deposits you at our door. The street does all the work.
One Street, Two Neighborhoods, Zero Excuses
Eagle Rock and Patar Shawarma are connected by a single road, which we consider a sign. The same Colorado that runs past your coffee shops and the old theater marquee carries straight through into Glendale and lands at 625 E Colorado St. No freeway required, though the 134 shadows the whole route if you're in a hurry. Twelve minutes, give or take a light.
Occidental students figured this out a while ago. When the campus dining options lose their charm — which, we hear, takes about three weeks — a carload of Oxy kids splitting wraps at midnight is a pretty regular sight at our counter. We're open until 2 AM daily, which lines up suspiciously well with library hours. Parents in town for the weekend get dragged along too, and they tend to leave with leftovers and strong opinions about why there's nothing like this back home.

Every order starts at the spit: meat stacked in-house, carved when you ask for it so you get the crackly seasoned exterior instead of something pre-sliced and tired. The house toum — whipped garlic, lemon, nothing fake — goes on thick if you want it to, and you want it to. It's a short enough drive that the wrap is still piping hot if you take it home, but most people don't make it past the parking lot.
